Aakash tablet 2 launched

Well, the most expected and updated version of earlier Aakash tablet has been launched yesterday (11-11-2012) by President Pranab Mukherjee on the occasion of National Education Day.

Realizing the missing links from the previous version of Aakash, Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry and the Canadian company 'Datawind' has put their immense effort in order to bring the best of their skills on it.

The new version called "Aakash 2" has far better specifications related to its earlier product Aakash. As far as updates are concerned, Aakash 2 serves the need of a normal Indian student.

Powered with 1 Ghz cortex A8 processor , 512 MB RAM, & inch capacitive touch screen and Android ice cream sandwich (v4.0.3) as operating system Aakash 2 offers 3 hours of battery backup which is reasonable with the cost. It also provides a micro sd card slot, a USB port, WiFi, 4GB internal memory, Gravity sensor  and a front VGA camera for video conferencing.

While the commercial version of Aakash 2 known as ' Ubislate 7ci ' is available for Rs 4499\- Aakash 2, which is subsidised by India Government, is available at a cost of Rs 1,130\-.

Even though this details are available, there is no clear vision that how can a student purchase it, while all our searches and queries on net end up on Datawind's commercial version of Aakash only.
